Real Name • Brandi Harline

Derby Name • BEE a Tricks

Age • 31

Occupation • dog bather

How did you get started in roller derby?

My best friend in California joined a team out there. A month later, I googled "roller derby Ogden Utah" and the rest is history.

How did you get your derby name and number and how does it sum you up as a skater?

My best friend calls me "B" which is short for a B-word (we went PG when she had a toddler). My number, 338, is the mirror image of BEE.

What other derby girl scares you most?

You know when you're on the jammer line and you look up and all the blockers on the other team are big and very skilled? That is scarier than any one blocker. But lately, every time I get within 3 inches of lead jammer, Princess Pummel knocks me out or down (I get pummelled).

Do you have a signature move?

I don't know if I have a signature move, but I have a great attitude and can maintain my optimism for each and every jam, even when my team is down by 100.

What does your future hold?

Roller derby, of course! As well as my bicycle, and my family and friends.
