Ambit GPS watch from Suunto • The Ambit watch combines a GPS navigation system with an altimeter, a 3-D compass and a heart-rate monitor. The watch is being targeted at backcountry skiers -- they can log ascents and descents -- trail runners and mountain climbers. The Ambit utilizes a patent-pending new technology called FusedSpeed, which combines GPS and an wireless signal for precise speed recordings.
