Southern Utah University's new community travel program, Community on the Go, will lead a group of 30 community participants on an expedition to explore ancient wonders of the Inca Empire of Peru in May 2018. Registration is now open for travelers interested in an experience designed to be fun, educational and affordable. From May 28-June 6, 2018, SUU Community on the Go explorers will visit colonial era sites and dine at world renowned restaurants in the capital city of Lima. Southern Utah University is bringing swing dancing to life with an evening of dance lessons and jazz music. The Spring Swing Thing will hit the dance floor on Monday, April 23, 2018 at the Gilbert Great Hall located in the Hunter Conference Center. Dance lessons will be provided at 7 p.m. by SUU Provost, James Sage, and his wife, Toni Sage. The concert and dance will begin at 7:30 p.m. Semi-formal dress is encouraged.

The Southern Utah University Symphony Orchestra will perform their Masterworks Concert, April 25, 2018. Tickets can be purchased at the door the night of the concert or at www.suu.edu/pva. The program includes "Academic Festival Overture, Op. 80" by Brahms, "Youth Symphony in D Minor" by Rachmaninoff, "Viola Concerto" by Karl Phillip Stamitz with guest soloist Larissa Brown-Sah, and "Finale" from the Firebird Suite by Igor Stravinsky.
