Enrollment is now open for the 2015-2016 school year at Utah Connections Academy (UCA), a tuition-free, fully accredited virtual public school, and it is hosting a free information session from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 9 at SpringHill Suites Lehi at Thanksgiving Point, 2447 West Executive Parkway, Lehi, Utah 84043.
The information session will cover several topics, including the school’s program and curriculum, how teachers interact with students in a virtual environment, social events, such as field trips and clubs, and other relevant topics. Because Utah Connections Academy is a virtual school, it is available to students in grades K-12 who reside anywhere in Utah. As a public school, there are no tuition fees to attend.

Thanksgiving Point Gardens will present its summer movie nights, July 10-Aug. 14, 2015. The outdoor movie series is free with admission to the Gardens. Movies begin at dusk, and visitors are encouraged to bring a blanket and picnic to enjoy the film under the stars. The following movies are scheduled: July 10 – Book of Life; July 17 – Tangled; July 24 – Napoleon Dynamite; July 31 – Breakfast at Tiffany's; Aug. 7 – Maleficent and Aug. 14 – Big Hero 6. Thanksgiving Point will host the annual Labor Day Luau, an outdoor event set against the backdrop of the largest man-made waterfall in the western hemisphere, and will kick off with a Polynesian-style dinner served at 5 p.m., followed by a Keiki fashion show at 6 p.m., Samoan fire performances and cooking demonstrations at 6:30 p.m. and an authentic luau at 7 p.m.
