Kids ages 9-13 are invited to immerse themselves in the wonders of Antelope Island and Great Salt Lake. Each day from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., campers learn about wildlife, birds, insects, salt and brine shrimp. Part of the journey will be an exploration of the beaches by canoe. Participants can sign up for one day or all three. Cost is $25 per day and includes entrance into the park, supplies and lunch. Space is limited and registration is required. Join HawkWatch International at the visitor's center Feb. 28, 2015, for a talk about Short-eared Owls. Short-eared Owls have been in decline across their range and the species status within many states is uncertain. The talk begins at 4p.m., followed by an evening field trip to look for Short-eared and other owls around the island. Registration is not necessary. Antelope Island State Park fees will apply.

Come to the 22nd Annual Antelope by Moonlight Bike Ride on July 3, 2015. This popular family friendly, non-competitive bike ride is open to participants of all ages and starts at Antelope Island's White Rock Bay. Come early for a tailgate party. The halfway point is the historic Fielding Garr Ranch where refreshments are served until midnight. Proceeds from the ride are used for visitor oriented projects on the Island.
