The Salt Lake County Library will host its first Outstanding Wizarding Levels Camp this July, offering Salt Lake County youth, ages 11-18, the chance to receive an O.W.L. letter, board Platform 9 ¾ and attend Hogwarts for a day. Students will spend one day participating in STE(a)M-based curriculum while attending classes such as Potions, Astronomy, Care of Magical Creatures, Defense Against the Dark Arts and Quidditch. Applications are due by midnight on May 21 and admission to O.W.L. Camp based on a random selection. Selected applicants will be notified the second week of June. The Salt Lake County Library Services is offering a series of free workshops on business basics, Business 101. Each monthly workshop will explore a different topic, including how to market your business and how to research franchise opportunities, and will be taught by business owners or members of Salt Lake Score. The first workshop is scheduled for April 13, 2017, and will discuss how to write a detailed business plan. The workshops will be held on the second Thursday of the month through October 2017.
