Description: Drummer Larry Aberman has had a multi-faceted career, recording with artists as wide-ranging as Joe Sample, Wynton Marsalis, Ric Ocasek, Adam Ant, and Paul Williams. As part of his mini-residency at the University of Utah, Aberman will be joined by Jazz Area faculty Russell Schmidt, piano,
and bassist Denson Angulo in a jazz trio recital featuring American songbook standards and original jazz classics. The Jazz Drum Set Master Class is at 5 p.m. Visit www.music.utah.edu for information.
