Maestro Thierry Fischer and the Utah Symphony continue in their 2-year Mahler Symphony Cycle with a performance of Mahler's “Symphony No. 3" Feb. 6-7, 2015. Famed for being one of Mahler's most extensive works, "Symphony No. 3" features the vocal talents of Utah-native mezzo-soprano Tamara Mumford, the women of the Utah Symphony Chorus, and The Madeleine Choir School. Coinciding with the 2015 American Choral Directors Conference, The Utah Chamber Artists will present "Collective Voice" Feb. 26-27, 2015. In addition to the Utah Chamber Artists Choir, this performance will feature the University of Utah Chamber Choir and the Utah Symphony Chorus to premier Eriks Esenvalds major work in addition to Verdi's "Four Sacred Songs" and Borondin's "Polovtsian Dances." The Utah Chamber Artists choir will join the Utah Symphony, the University of Utah Chamber Choir, and the Utah Symphony Chorus in a work commissioned by Eriks Esenvalds. Thierry Fischer will also conduct the choir and orchestra in Verdi's "Quattro Pezzi Sacri," (Four Sacred Songs), and Borodin's energetic and jubilant "Polovtsian Dances."
