Kids ages 9-13 are invited to immerse themselves in the wonders of Antelope Island and Great Salt Lake. Each day from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., campers learn about wildlife, birds, insects, salt and brine shrimp. Part of the journey will be an exploration of the beaches by canoe. Participants can sign up for one day or all three. Cost is $25 per day and includes entrance into the park, supplies and lunch. Space is limited and registration is required. Visit Antelope Island State Park and witness a western roundup Oct. 24, 2014. This annual event is an opportunity to view one of the nation's largest and oldest public herds as horseback riders move the bison from the southern tip of the island, to the handling facility located at the park's northern end.
