"Play-by-Play," will provide developmental rehearsal periods for three new plays in early 2014, with the playwright working alongside a professional director and cast for a week-long residency, culminating in three public readings of each play available at a very modest cost. "A Public Education" by Jeff Talbott, which will have its public readings on March 14 at 8 p.m. and March 15 at 2 and 8 p.m. in the Babcock Theatre. The University of Utah Department of Theatre will present Pomp and Circumstance: A Musical Review, April 10-19, 2014. A collage of songs and scenes, the showcase is both a reflection and capstone for graduating seniors of the Musical Theatre Program and will feature wide-ranging talents.
