EVENTS at
CENTRAL UTAH ART CENTER

Friday December 9th, 2016 - 11:00 am (25 total times)
The Central Utah Art Center will present Drew Conrad's exhibit, The Desert is a Good Place to Die, Oct. 21-Jan. 17, 2017. An exhibition opening reception will be held Friday, Oct. 21, 6-9 p.m. Drew Conrad decided to destroy every piece of artwork he had created from 2010 to the present. His sculptures were not ushered off with great fanfare and burning flames, but rather disassembled and disposed of in a landfill. Reusable items were pilfered for future projects. Visit drewconradart.com/the-desert-is-a-good-place-to-die for information. CUAC is closed on holidays.

Friday December 9th, 2016 - 11:00 am (25 total times)
The Central Utah Art Center will present Peter Everett's Transmutation exhibit, Oct. 21, 2016-Jan. 13, 2017. An opening reception will be held Oct. 21, 6-9 p.m. CUAC will closed on holidays. Peter Everett has influenced more than a decade worth of painters coming out of BYU's art program and has achieved great success of his own exhibiting locally and internationally. His work strongly builds on abstract painting traditions largely by challenging traditional ideas about composition. His paintings feature amorphous "figures" comprised of many individual marks that seem to float above the surface of the paintings.
