The School of Music welcomes guest percussionist Doug Smith, violinist Blanka Bednarz and cellist Cheung Chau for an evening of inspired music. These world-class musicians offer a captivating program featuring newly commissioned works, traditional tunes and contemporary favorites. This multilingual concert includes settings of poetry by Cummings, Neruda, Eluard and Goethe.

The Runnin' flUtes program includes Rossini's overture to The Barber of Seville, Bach's lively Brandenburg Concerto No. 3 and three madrigals by Renaissance master Orlanso di Lasso. The concert also includes Mozart's Rondo in D major, featuring student soloist Stefania Neumann, and Ann Cameron Pearce's perennial charmer, Bumblebee Fantasy.
