Engage in a sensory exploration of writing. How does art transform light, texture, space? How can we capture rich, sensory detail in the written word? We'll get inspiration from Amy Fairchild's photography and Naomi Marine's mixed media to help us delve into descriptive writing. Please bring your own writing materials. The workshop will be facilitated by Melissa Helquist, Associate Professor and Director of the Community Writing Center. She holds a PhD in Rhetoric and Technical Communication from Texas Tech University.
