The Gallivan Center will host its annual lighting celebration with Make a Wish Foundation Nov. 28, 2014, from 4-6 p.m. The ceremony will illuminate over 350,000 lights, including a 60-foot tree. The celebration of the holiday season kicks off with lots of family-friendly activities, entertainment, and fun giveaways. DJ Jon Smith and American Ice Theatre will perform, Make a Wish Foundation will feature great ways to give this holiday season, and Santa Claus will even be on hand to greet the kids.

The Gallivan Center Ice Rink will reopen for the 2014-15 winter season on Friday, Nov. 14, 2014, 6 p.m. to midnight. The Valda E. Tarbet Ice Rink is the only outdoor ice rink in Salt Lake City, and the Gallivan Center boasts over 350,000 lights during the holiday season. The ice rink at the Gallivan Center is open Monday-Thursday from noon-9 p.m., Friday and Saturday from noon to midnight and Sunday from noon-7 p.m. Admission is $8 for adults and $7 for seniors and children under 12.
