Pioneer Theatre Company will present "The Glass Menagerie," Oct. 21-Nov. 5, 2016. The Glass Menagerie is a memory play that premiered in 1944 and catapulted Tennessee Williams from obscurity to fame. Amanda Wingfield and her painfully shy daughter Laura await the arrival of "the Gentleman Caller" who will transform the dross of their everyday lives into fine-spun gold. Children's auditions for the part of "Raynell" in PTC's upcoming production of Fences will be held on Friday, Oct. 28, 2016, 3:30-5 p.m. Callbacks will be held at a later date by invitation only.
The part of "Raynell" is a child, and the actor must be believable as a 5-6 year old African-American girl. Auditions will be held in Room 245 at Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre. Each audition slot is three minutes. Sides will be provided. A headshot and resume are recommended. Auditioners should come in to sign up on the callboard in Room 325 at the Roy W. and Elizabeth E. Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre, however walk-ins are also encouraged. The sign-up sheet will be posted on October 21, 2016.
