The documentary "Code: Debugging the Gender Gap," which examines the cultural mindsets, stereotypes, educational hurdles and sexism that prevent more women and people of color from seeking jobs in computer sciences. After the screening, director Robin Hauser Reynolds will take part in a Q&A, moderated by Lara Jones, host of KRCL's "RadioActive."

City Art will present its annual meltdown Sept. 2, 2015. This year's meltdown includes Shanan Ballam, Pam Balluck, Lara Candland, Rob Carney, Raphael Dagold, Lynn Kilpatrick, Joel Long, Adam Love, Michael McLane, Jacqueline Osherow, Natasha Saje, Laura Stott, Jennifer Tonge, Jerry VanIeperen, and Mike White , among others. The meltdown includes the top vote-getters among Utah writers and so offers 15 to 20 of the best literary figures of the state reading for five minutes each. It traditionally begins the City Art Reading series, which meets the first three Wednesdays of every month from September through June.
