This conference is for helping professionals (nurses, doctors, mental health counselors, law enforcement officers, teachers) who because of the nature of their work are at high risk for compassion fatigue, burnout, and secondary traumatic stress disorder. These symptoms contribute to decreased professional performance and increased conflict in personal relationships. This conference, led by international expert Dr. J. Eric Gentry, will provide an intensive one-day experiential training for professional helpers to prevent compassion fatigue and other work-related stress disorders. It is sponsored by the Center for Counseling Excellence, a Utah-based agency dedicated to treating helping professionals, which is the only one of its kind in the United States.
