SCERA Center for the Arts will hold its 7th Ride For The Arts, a charity motorcycle ride Aug. 29, 2015. The ride will kick off with a light breakfast and check in/registration at the Center, and leav at 10 a.m. for a three-hour group ride to Wolf Creek Pass, ending up back at Timpanogos Harley Davidson in Lindon for lunch and prizes. As a bonus, riders can choose tickets to a concert at SCERA Shell Outdoor Theatre: Country music superstar Clay Walker on Aug. 28 or Arrival: The Music of Abba on Labor Day, Sept. 1. The concert experience also includes a pre-show dinner, VIP meet and greet, and photo, as well as a reserved seating area. SCERA Center for the Arts and Utah Valley University are co-producing an original musical about the trek of the Utah pioneer written by James Arrington, Marvin Payne and Steven Kapp Perry called "The Trail of Dreams." Music auditions will be held Sept. 1, 2015, 6-9 p.m. Auditioners should prepare 16 measures of a folk song. Sing acappella, bring your own accompanist or IPOD playback available. All roles are singing roles. No appointment is necessary to audition. A resume and headshot is helpful, but not required.
