Little Naturalist is the perfect program for 3- to 5-year-olds who are curious about animals, their habitats, the environment, and other aspects of nature. Join us the 1st and 3rd Monday of the month, October through May, to read a specially selected nature-themed book, play games and participate in activities, and complete a craft. Some favorites include snowshoeing on the preserve, interacting with live reptiles and amphibians, upcycling old materials into holiday decorations, and much more!

Come enjoy the gorgeous wildflowers of early summer on the Swaner Preserve! Wildflower experts Jaydee Gunnell, Richard Anderson, and Jerry Goodspeed of the USU Botanical Center will be presenting about the range of high-altitude plants in the Swaner EcoCenter demonstration garden, as well as leading a short hike on the Preserve's north side trail system. Terrain is variable and the trails are exposed: please come prepared with hiking shoes or boots and water.
