The Artist Blacksmith Association of North America is a national association with over 4000 members from around the world. The group was formed in the late 1960's, and currently leads the revival of the art and crafts of blacksmithing -- which had mostly died out in the United States. Today, American blacksmiths have created a major art movement inspiring folks from around the world. Much of this work will be exhibited in Salt Lake City during the Conference July 13-16, 2016. Those wishing to attend the conference may register at abana.org/Conferences/2016/contents/en-us/d5_Register.html. You are also welcome to attend the free portion of the conference on the evenings of July 15-16.

Artist Blacksmiths from around the world coming to Salt Lake City The ringing of the anvil will be heard throughout Utah State Fairpark as over one thousand talented men and women come together to share their skills and talents with one another and the public. There will be eight demo sites where experts will display tented pop-up shops working during the days of the conference: including gas and coal forges, power hammers, presses, and various other tools. http://abana.org/Conferences/2016/contents/en-us/d1.html. During the evenings, the public will be invited to view the exhibition of ABANA members’ work. On the nights of July 15th & 16th there will be a public demonstration followed by an auction of works created during the conference. These works will be donated by members to benefit the ABANA education mission. http://abana.org/Conferences/2016/contents/en-us/d2.html The Artist Blacksmith Association of North America (ABANA) is a national association with over 4000 members from around the world.
